A growing cloud and security function is looking for a Cloud Security Consultant with a solid grounding in Azure to support ongoing hardening, monitoring, and advisory work across a broad portfolio of platforms. You’ll be involved in day-to-day engineering tasks while contributing to longer-term cloud security improvements.

The Role

You’ll help strengthen Azure environments through practical security controls, structured reviews, and close collaboration with engineering teams. Expect a mix of technical implementation, analysis, and supporting governance activity as the team scales out its cloud security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Azure security services and baseline controls.
• Review identity, access patterns, and role assignments across subscriptions.
• Support threat monitoring, log analysis, and alert response.
• Assist with assessments, risk reviews, and environment hardening.
• Contribute to policy updates, internal standards, and documentation.
• Analyse vulnerability outputs and assist stakeholders with remediation steps.
• Work with cloud engineers to embed security into new deployments.
• Assist with investigations during security events or escalations.

Skills & Experience

• Practical experience with Azure security tooling (Defender, Sentinel, or similar).
• Understanding of identity, access management, and network boundaries in cloud environments.
• Comfortable reviewing logs, alerts, and misconfiguration reports.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as CIS, ISO, or NIST.
• Experience with scripting or automation is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Certifications (AZ-500, SC-900, or related) are a bonus.
